Top 5 Disney Tips from a Travel Agent: Make the Most of Your Disney Vacation!

Planning a Disney vacation is exciting, but there are a few things I always encourage families to consider before heading to the most magical place on earth!

As a travel agent, I love helping families plan their Disney vacations, and I want you to get the most out of your time, money, and memories. Here are my Top 5 Disney Tips that I share with my clients!

1. Give Yourself a Day for Each Park AND a Rest Day!

My biggest recommendation? Don't rush your Disney vacation!

Plan to give yourself a full day for each park, along with a rest day to slow down, enjoy your resort, swim, or simply take a break.

Never schedule a park day on your travel day! You are investing a lot of money into this experience. Flights get delayed, traffic happens, and unexpected things can pop up. You don't want to feel rushed, miss park time, or start your vacation stressed because something happened along the way.

Give yourself room to enjoy the magic!

2. ALWAYS Buy Memory Maker!

Parents, this one is for YOU!

We spend so much time behind the camera trying to capture every smile, hug, character interaction, and magical moment. But what if you could actually be IN those memories instead?

Disney's Memory Maker allows you to enjoy Disney PhotoPass photos throughout your trip. Let the Disney photographers capture the moments while you enjoy being part of them!

For the cost, I think it's a great way to preserve those memories without constantly worrying about taking your own pictures.

You deserve to be in the pictures, too!

3. Use a Travel Agent Who KNOWS Disney!

Disney can feel overwhelming, especially if it's your first visit or it's been years since your last trip.

There is so much to learn about park planning, Lightning Lane, dining reservations, resorts, transportation, and how to make the most of each day.

Find a travel agent who knows the parks and can walk you through the planning process. You want someone who understands your family's travel style, priorities, and budget.

A good travel agent doesn't just book your vacation. They help you understand how to plan it!

And the best part? You have someone to help answer questions along the way.

4. Stay on Disney Property!

If your budget allows, I highly recommend staying at a Disney Resort!

There are some great benefits to staying on property, including:

  • Early Theme Park Entry at eligible parks.

  • Convenient Disney transportation options.

  • Extra resort perks and benefits.

  • Being immersed in the Disney magic even when you're not in the parks!

There are resort options at different price points, so don't automatically assume staying on property is out of reach.

Let's find one that works for your family!

5. DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE KIDS ARE OLDER!

This might be my favorite tip!

I hear so many parents say, "We are going to wait until the kids are older so they remember it."

But here's my thought: GO WHEN THEY ARE YOUNG!

Children under 3 do not need a Disney theme park ticket. That means your 2-year-old, 1-year-old, and infant can enjoy the parks with you without needing their own admission ticket.

Will they remember every detail? Maybe not. But YOU will!

The excitement when they see Mickey, the princess hugs, the rides, the parades, and those little eyes lighting up are memories you will treasure forever.

Don't wait for the perfect age. There is something magical about experiencing Disney through the eyes of a little one!

Ready to Plan Your Disney Vacation?

Disney is so much more than a vacation. It's an opportunity to make memories, spend time together, and experience a little extra magic with the people you love.

I would love to help your family plan a Disney vacation that fits your needs, budget, and travel style!

Let's get you to the magic!

Your travel agent,
Katie
